Carmen Ortiz earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education K-6 from Ana G. Méndez University, a bilingual university, in June 2014. She dedicated three years to working with Special Education students in Orlando, Florida. Currently, she is a 3rd grade ELA teacher at Osceola County public school in Florida, and this is her third year there.

Mihaela Andrei has been a dedicated Modern Languages Teacher for over 15 years in both the public and private school sectors, specializing in French and Spanish as a Second Language. Reading is one of her life’s passions and she holds a Master’s degree in French Literature from the University of Toronto. Mihaela has lived and studied in Lyons, France; Madrid, Spain, and currently she calls Toronto home.

The Bilingual Spanish-English Success series offers a range of engaging exercises and activities that cater specifically to the needs of kindergarten and pre-K students. Various level-appropriate topics, such as numbers, colors, animals, and other basic vocabulary, are presented in a bilingual format. Colorful illustrations will capture their attention with instructions that are easy to understand, allowing children to work independently or with guidance. A wonderful learning companion, thoughtfully designed to keep young learners motivated and interested on their bilingual journey. (Teacher recommended!)

Tanya Hernandez earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from the University of Central Florida. Despite her academic background, her true passion lies in education. After several years of contemplation, she decided to pursue her passion and obtained certification in Elementary Education for Grades K to 6. Tanya, who was born in the United States to Puerto Rican parents, is fluent in both Spanish and English. She has been teaching for four years now and she absolutely loves teaching.

The Bilingual Spanish-English Success series looks great! I think the workbooks are age-appropriate. I could even use them in my own classroom if I were teaching Spanish. I love all the different activities, and the workbooks are very user-friendly for parents.
